I'm starting to look like myself again, dark hair cascading over my shoulders, the ends just tickling the top of my cleavage. Don't get me wrong, I like myself with short hair. I just... am myself with long hair.
(Can anyone tell me how to get pictures off my .mac site onto LJ? I can't seem to figure out how to individualise the links, and I don't want to post a whole page of thumbnails...)
So for those of you who don't know, I'm living in the middle of nowhere in South Wales. The name of the village is Llandybie (pronounced vaguely like "Land of Beer" or "Clan of Beer", but the Welsh prefix "Llan" actually means "Church of", ergo "Church of Beer"). I have one amazing boyfriend, Adam, and absolutely no other friends closer than 4 hours by train. We go to the gym a few nights a week, he goes to uni 5 days a week, and I've been working very part-time with a housecleaning company - I'm a GOOD little Mexican! It rains here in a way that SoCal can only dream of; in fact, it's doing so now. I have days when I cry a lot, but overall I'd say morale is high given the circumstances.
Carrie and I are finally starting the email writing group we've been talking about since graduation. Hopefully this means I'll finally be doing some writing, which I haven't since graduating. Whether or not said writing is any good remains to be seen, and my diary manuscript is still on a seemingly permanent hold.
Today, I have to do all the ironing. What I wouldn't give for a dryer so that I could completely eliminate this pointless chore. (Adam didn't believe me when I told him I'd hardly ironed a day in my life prior to moving here. Clotheslines - what a silly concept.)

for example the following line of html will post this picture in < > you will put (img src="http://homepage.mac.com/mariemaran
make sure you replace the () with <> and always make sure you have your "" at the begining and end of your address.

That's unfortunate, as I've been envisioning you living some fabulous "Sex in the (Welsh) City", European lifestyle.
And clotheslines are especially silly when it rains as much as you say it does. I say, trade in your washer for a dryer, and use the clothesline to give them a good rinsing.

Yes, send me a copy of the story. Unless the whole book is worth getting? I like books...

The book that it's from, Close Range, isn't worth getting, but BBM is coming out as it's own novella soon, and I would definitely recommend getting that. It makes for a better read in book format than printed-from-computer format.
